Van 14 tot 18 oktober nam ik deel aan de jaarlijkse Conventie van de National Lawyers Guild in de Verenigde Staten.
Dit jaar stond de conventie in het teken van “LAW FOR THE PEOPLE” en ging door in Seattle.

De keuze voor Seattle was niet toevallig.

Mieke Van Laer en Ivo Flachet,
advocaten bij respectievelijk PLN Antwerpen en PLN Brussel
kregen dit jaar de mogelijkheid om deel te nemen
aan de jaarlijkse Convention van de NLG (National Lawyers Guild).
De NLG vierde dit jaar zijn 70ste verjaardag.

The National Lawyers Guild is dedicated to the need for basic and progressive change in the structure of our political and economic system. Through its members--lawyers, law students, jailhouse lawyers and legal workers united in chapters and committees--the Guild works locally, nationally and internationally as an effective political and social force in the service of the people.
